I haven't had time to do much further work on this book project for a while. As is obvious from the dates.
However, I have recently taken the opportunity to take early retirement from my admin work at the university specifically in order to have time to make some progress on this and other projects.
I hope to see some progress soon!!

ReplyDeleteI wonder if you can help point me in the right direction. My late mother-in-law, who was born in Palestine, served for a year or two (1943-1944) in a British Army facility – she told us that they were tracking Axis aircraft with information obtained from radar. As far as we know there was one radar station in Haifa, northern Israel – in the Stella Maris camp on the Carmel mountain range – but we believe she served in Tel Aviv or its environs.
We’re trying to discover where and what the facility was, but so far haven’t been able to identify the insignia, or to find more information.
Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated!

Hi..my grandfather was radar operator in North Africa and would like to find out some more about the history of these units..
